Today, on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we reflect on the life of a man whose vision, courage, and unwavering commitment to justice changed the world. Dr. King taught us that leadership is not about personal glory — it’s about creating lasting impact and empowering others to thrive.

For me, this lesson resonates deeply as I think about the legacy we are building at Alexandrea Winery. Just as Dr. King inspired generations to act with purpose and integrity, my goal is to build a brand and business that outlive me and continue to make a positive impact for my children, my community, and the wider world.

Leadership Through Vision and Values

Dr. King’s leadership was rooted in clarity of vision and unwavering principles. At Alexandrea Winery, every decision — from sustainable vineyard practices to the stories we tell through our wines — is guided by values, integrity, and long-term thinking. Leadership isn’t just about being at the top; it’s about ensuring that what you build can stand the test of time.

Giving Back Is a Responsibility

Martin Luther King Jr. believed in service and the power of community. Philanthropy and education have been central to my life’s work — whether it’s supporting innovation through technology, investing in education, or fostering future leaders. Today, I’m reminded that the companies we build, like the communities we serve, flourish when we prioritize impact over short-term gain.

Legacy in Every Bottle

Alexandrea Winery Wine is more than a brand — it is a story of vision, ethics, and continuity. It represents the principle that leadership, like wine, improves and strengthens over time. Just as Dr. King’s words continue to inspire decades later, I hope Alexandrea leaves a lasting mark, cultivating excellence, responsibility, and meaningful growth for generations to come.

On this Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we celebrate leadership with purpose, the courage to innovate ethically, and the vision to leave a legacy that matters far beyond ourselves.
